Pavel Timets made 5 recommendations for those who want to make work at the exhibition more effective following results of the international exhibition of entertainment equipment in Orlando.

Be registered in advance

There are two options — be registered in advance or purchase a ticket in Orlando. Specialists are registered in advance. Then, if you are invited by one of exhibitors of the exhibition, your participation will be free. Buying a ticket without prior registration, on-site, will cost $400.

The exhibition is in the morning, meetings are in the evening

It is physically quite hard to go at the exhibition the whole day. You should plan your day in advance. I try to hold meetings with partners during afternoon. Then the first half can be devoted to the exhibition: to watch stands, to test equipment and agree on cooperation.

Take only business cards

I take business cards and booklets of those products which are interested to me at the exhibition. Choosing between a big leaflet and a business card, take the business card. The first time, by inexperience I collected so many promotional materials that carried back to Russia the whole suitcase of paper. Now I ask to give me small business cards and I write my explanations using a pen on them. It is quicker and simpler to sort materials after the exhibition.

Sort

Information has property to be forgotten therefore sort everything that was gathered directly. On arrival, I carry out preprocessing. I sort materials by following directions: VR, aquaparks, food, automatic machines, etc. Later I send information to my employees who are responsible for these directions in the company. I make a presentation for my colleagues and I tell what was the most of all remembered at the exhibition also in the first days after returning.

Notice ideas

Exhibitions are always a good opportunity not only for buying equipment and signing contracts but also noticing ideas and successful design decisions. Visual attractiveness of services is important for entertainment business. Any attraction with proper design becomes tempting for guests. And you can gain a lot of the most diverse ideas at exhibitions.
