«Disney» and the balloon: the concept of Kirov Park development was introduced in Izhevsk
The investor plans to invest 150 million rubles into the project
The fact, that a new entertainment zone may be started up in Kirov park in Izhevsk, became known in May this year. At this very time there appeared a potential investor — St. Petersburg company «Indoor amusement parks», known for its large entertainment centers (Maza Park in St. Petersburg, FUN24 in Kazan, Galaxy Park in Smolensk).
«The Park of the Future»
A new entertainment zone in Kirov Park is planned to be spread over 2.2 hectares, as the founder of «The indoor amusement parks» (IAP) Paul Timets explained. If the project proposed by the investor will be adjusted with in the nearest future, it may start up in February 2018. The project is scheduled to be completely run by May 2019.
— The working title of the project is «The Park of the Future». «The idea is that at the entrance of the park there will be remained a part of the old Soviet-era attractions. Moving deeper, guests will observe some more new modern attractions. At the end of the park it’s planned to create a virtual and augmented reality and other futuristic entertainments» — Timets said.
How will the park be changed?
What things can exactly occur in the park? In the area of the entrance group it’s planned to arrange rentals of sport implements, children’s tower tracks Zip Line, mall, booking offices. In the area of side-shows, it is planned to supply both customary «Soviet» carousels and new attractions like «Disney», «Black Hole» and «Red carousel». The appearance of autodrome, prize center, children’s quad trails is planned too. It is proposed to install a pavilion, where «Umnikum-Laboratorium / Planetarium» will be set up, as well as a square, an amphitheater and an administrative block.
— «IAP» is going to implement modern educational and developmental programs for children of different ages. They will place a large balloon (airlift) in the park area. This balloon lifts visitors to an altitude of bird flight. Maybe, some of Izhevsk citizens will feel like making a proposal to his beloved at height or just look at his city from the top, the founder of «The indoor amusement parks» Ltd Paul Timets says.
According to preliminary estimates of the investor, the project will be paid off in 8–10 years. The annual volume of deducted tax will be about 8–10 million rubles, besides it’s supposed to create more than 100 new workspaces.
